Kobra and the Lotus returned to Manchester after a successful tour with Buckcherry almost a year ago. We were fortunate enough to chat to Kobra and Jasio before the gig. As it was bonfire night, we were expected an explosive set.
The boss had to cover the gig, as we had double booked the night with a gig at the Star and Garter.
Incassum opened the show to a small crowd, followed by Santa Cruz.
Unfortunately, the cerfew was early and it meant reduced and early sets by both Incassum and Santa Cruz but both played excited, solid sets.
When Kobra came on to the stage, the band played a tight set, full of excitement and showcased the reason behind all the hype. Playing songs from their debut album including the '50 shades of evil'.
It was a shame that so few had turned up to the show to see such an enigmatic performance. But Kobra and the boys know how to put on a great show, no matter how many people were there. I would have to give 8/10.
