Gig Review:

'American Head Charge, RSJ and Maplerun'

Sound Control

Maplerun took to the stage first. With vocals similar to System of a Down with a more thrashy edge. Hailing from Greece, these boys had shown why these boys are on this tour. Clever riffs and vocals got the crowd moving and warming up.

RSJ were the main support band playing their metalcore stylings. Now, for those of you unfamiliar with the boys from York seeing is believing. They are awesome muscians, who do more than put on a show. Dan and Guff enter the crowd at different points of the set. All to encampsule what these guys are about...which is playing and enjoying the music!! They knew how to get the crowd moving. You have to see these guys play, that is all I have to say. Great bunch of guys, enjoying their music and taking you on a ride at the same time.

American Head Charge returned to our shores after a hiatus. But the crowd made it feel like they were never away. From the word go, the crowd were involved singing a long, making sure the boys knew that they were missed. The guys musical past is chequered with the death of their guitarist and reunion in 2011. But one thing is right, they said in the interview that it feels strange and sometimes not right but Muscle Memory has alot to answer for. For those at the gig, you know what I mean cause the guys looked like they enjoyed every minute. With every great band, they left the audience wanting more.
