Review: Steve n Seagulls: Farm Machine

Sometimes, humour is best served up in a different form of valour. Steve n Seagulls bring this to the front with theire highly anticipated release. Farm Machine. A meloncholy approach to rock/metal with covers that need to be heard to be believed.

Ever wondered what your favourite rock/metal tracks sound like with a blues/sawgrass twist? I have heard and I love it. Banjos, double bass, vocal harmonies, spoons and alot of love have been put into this album. The track listing includes Black Dog, Thunderstruck, The Trooper, Ich Will, Paradise City, Nothing Else Matters, Over the Hills and Far Away, Seek and Destroy, Holy Diver, Run to the Hills, You Shook Me All Night long and Cemetry Gates. Time for you to tell me the bands who originally did the songs? Easy peasy.

The worrying thing is I seem to have a love for the Scandanavian bands, whether it be Audrey Horne, Sahg or now Steve n Seagulls. Even for the die hard metal fan, you cant help singing along to the tracks you and know and love. Even the boss, who really disproves of this sort of adventure was taken aback and was singing along to 'You Shook Me All Night Long' praise indeed from the Buckcherry die hard!.

If you want to know more check out their youtube pages or even facebook. They are something to behold. I have to give the album 9/10 for sheer balls and exuberance. Andy \m/
